WHAT IS THE DISTANCE YOU CAN GO ON A SINGLE CHARGE WITH YOUR TACITA ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE ?

Tacita Range Method
This is one big traditional question we are often asked. True and provable numbers, in real driving condition, that’s what riders need and deserve. We decided to answer using our method “TACITA Range Method” or TRM.
TRM is an easy test done on real public roads ( no DYNO or artificially controlled road conditions ), that can be replicated by any rider, following some easy rules and of course respecting the road speed limits.
TRM riding rules
1. Acceleration from any stop point (traffic light or any road sign) up to the road speed limit on a progressive manner.
2. Regenerative Braking on the OFF option, so we let the motorcycle run with minimum effort.
3. We let the motorcycle decrease speed gently as we see a traffic light until we stop.
4. Regenerative Braking on the ON option only on downhill road segments

TRM Rider and motorcycle terms and Conditions
Rider weight 90 kg
Street legal tires
For the tests, we choose 3 routes close our Factory in Italy
Route A – Hill roads with up and downs
Route B – Flats roads
Route C – Hill roads with up and downs mixed with urban traffic streets
Poirino > Camerano Casasco > Poirino (hill roads)
Poirino > Cuneo > Poirino (flat roads)
Poirino > Bergeggi > Poirino (uphill & downhill roads and Urban mix)
Distance range measurements over TRM are done as follows:
The distance traveled until the first blink of Reserve Power indicator light comes up on the dashboard. Then the extra distance traveled before Reserve Power light get fixed. This numbers shows the true real life distance any rider can go with his TACITA® electric motorcycle.
Road type mix used on TRM is as follows:
-
65% roads mix. Urban roads speed limit 70 km/h and non urban roads 90 km/h.
-
35% city streets, mainly speed limit 50 km/h and some segments 30 km/h
The average speed around the Torino and over the Alps section on this road mix was 65 Km/h.
Pros and Cons of TRM
Even that our engineers have done a hard work designing this test, we know TRM no doubt it is not a declaration of perfection. But, for sure, it shows some clear data a rider can do on a real road.
